Texas Regional Games Packet Pickup and Check-in

Thurs: 5-8:30 PM or Friday: 11-2 or 5-8 PM (All athletes must come through the TRG check-in and packet pickup)

Note: We will add Friday AM games if more time is needed to complete the tournament.  Hoping we have an increase in entrees, so we have to add the Friday AM games.

Wheelchair Tennis Divisions-this will be a Level 4 sanctioned USTA event and will count for ranking

  1. Adult Coed A Singles

  2. Adult Coed B Singles

  3. Adult Coed C Singles

  4. Adult Coed D Singles

  5. Junior Coed 18 & Under

  • If two or more Letter Divisions are combined into one event due to lack of entries in the divisions, the event will be designated as the higher letter division.

 

Ambulatory Tennis Divisions

  1. Adult Below the Knee or amputation of one arm or a malformation of one arm

  2. Adult Above the Knee or malformation of both arms or hemiplegic, hemiparesis, congenital malformation, or cerebral palsy

  3. Juniors Above the Knee or amputation of one arm or a malformation of one arm

  4. Juniors Below the Knee or malformation of both arms or hemiplegic, hemiparesis, congenital malformation, or cerebral palsy

  • Adult Divisions and junior divisions will be combined if not enough entries 

  • Juniors under 12 will play on a 60 ft. court with orange ball

 

Wheelchair & Ambulatory Tennis General Guidelines-2 bounces are allowed if needed

Draws will be either one or more round robins or compass draws depending on the number of entries for each division. Scoring will be best of three tiebreak sets (10pt tiebreak in lieu of 3rd) • No ad scoring

Players are guaranteed 2 matches

 

Wheelchair Repair

  • There will be a minor wheelchair repair station set-up near the courts. 

  • A wheelchair repair timeout is a cumulative timeout of up to 20 minutes that is permitted for wheelchair repairs during a match, including the warm-up. 

 

Awards

  • Medals will be given to the top three athletes in each division, provided there are at least four athletes competing in that division. 

  • Male and Female athletes will compete together.

  • Medal ceremonies will be conducted at the Tennis venue immediately after the completion of each division.
